Two-day tour to Chernobyl and Pripyat

You will see the control room of block 4 or 3,

We meet from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. – Kiev city (center), st. Architect Gorodetsky 1, metro station “Khreschatyk” or “Independence square”

08.00 a.m. departure from Kiev to the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
The trip will take about 2 hours, during which we offer you to watch a documentary about the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
On the way, there will be a stop at a gas station where you can have a snack, drink coffee or tea.

A visit to the kindergarten, one of the buildings on the territory of Chernobyl that was not destroyed.
Kopachy is the village that suffered the most during the Chernobyl disaster this village was decided to level with the ground.

One of the most secret objects of the Soviet Union is the Duga-1 or 5N32.
It was created to alert about threats from the air (launched intercontinental ballistic missiles).
The signal transmitted by the station was reminiscent of a woodpecker sound, which is
why it is also called the Russian Woodpecker.
Three such antennas were built in the USSR.

Unit 5 was 80% ready,

The huge structures that were supposed to serve as radiators for 5 and 6 power units.
Their length is impressive, it is hard to imagine that they were built with human hands.
Going inside, we will get acquainted with the well-known graffiti of the famous Italian artist Guido van Helten …

Unique hydraulic engineering structure,
artificially functioning huge water reservoir,
in some places more than 10 meters deep.

This is already a closed station for passenger trains.
In April 1986, the station received the last passenger train Moscow – Khmelnitsky.
Now, there are only trains that left at the station – ghosts …

Despite the decree of the government of the USSR on obligatory resettlement of residents of the Chernobyl Zone,
people did not leave their homes or returned to their homeland after a time. They are known as self-settlers.

They are always glad to see their guests.

The population of the military camp was within 1,000;
these were the soldiers who guarded and maintained the antenna, and their families.
We will walk along Kurchatov Street, the only street in the town.
We will visit the command center, see the remains of huge Soviet computers …
