Basic conditions for a Chernobyl nuclear power plant tour

Only people over 18 years old can book a one-day, two-day, or individual tour on the territory of the Chernobyl NPP. According to the laws of Ukraine, the presence of parents or their notarized consent cannot serve as a pass to the Zone.

To gain access, all participants must familiarize themselves with the rules of conduct in the territory of hazardous facilities, as well as undergo detailed instructions.

The territory of Chernobyl belongs to state security facilities and is under the supervision of paramilitary units. The tour operator provides them with all the details of all group members and receives special passes. If you have photographic or video equipment for filming, you must also inform the administration representative about this at the entrance to obtain special permission. This will give you the opportunity to photograph and capture interesting objects with your camera.

In case of emergency, you can cancel the booked tour no later than one day before the group starts the route. In this case, the cost of the voucher will be returned to the owner in full.

Interesting things to expect on the routes on the territory of the Chernobyl NPP

The Trips to the Chernobyl team provides the opportunity to visit the Chernobyl zone in several ways. Among them are full-fledged group excursions at an affordable price, as well as individual tours to the wildest places, lasting from several hours to five days.

During a familiarization trip through the abandoned territory, you can visit such amazing objects:

  1. a site with a new protective “Arch”;
  2. hall of models in administrative and amenity building-1, where it is clearly shown how the huge mechanism of a nuclear power plant functions;
  3. “Golden Corridor” crossing the NPP building;
  4. control room operating console – central control unit, which once controlled all units of each workshop;
  5. a radar station “Duga-1” and a secret object “Duga-2”.

Having chosen a multi-day tour, you will find out what the Chernobyl nuclear power plant looks like inside, see the famous “Red Forest”, and feed giant live catfish with bread in a pond. The guides will show you unfinished blocks and a unique museum of robots and equipment that took part in the liquidation of the terrible consequences of the accident. Along the way, you will come across abandoned houses and kindergartens, in which instead of laughter, only a booming echo walks through the rooms, and grass and moss have long sprouted through the concrete floor.
