The plot tells about two sisters going on vacation to their relatives in Pripyat. Traveling by car they did not expect that it would break down and they would have to spend the night in the forest. Suddenly, fire trucks began to move en masse in the direction of the nuclear power plant. The heroines’ car was pushed to the side of the road and the girls continued on foot.


Arriving in the city, one of the sisters remained in the hospital, helping to care for the victims. The other falls in love with a new acquaintance, a conscript soldier.

HBO mini-series “Chernobyl” (2019)

According to IMDb the mini-series “Chernobyl” has become the most popular in the world.

The tape tells about the events of 1986. The man-made disaster, which has become the largest tragedy in world history, did not leave indifferent directors and screenwriters. The series consists of separate stories of eyewitnesses who survived in a radioactive hell and those who held leading positions in the country at that time.

The series is based on the book by Svetlana Aleksievich entitled “Chernobyl Prayer”.

“The Battle of Chernobyl” (2006)

The American film of the Discovery Channel is rightfully considered one of the most spectacular and reliable documentaries about the Chernobyl accident. The authors talked with many people who helped to eliminate the consequences of the disaster including the former President of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev.
