The environmental impact has left an indelible mark in an area where anomalous Chernobyl animals are often found.
Even now, specialists from all over the world are trying to eliminate the consequences of the disaster near the town of Pripyat.
Thirty-three years have passed, but this topic is still relevant and crucial to the history of the world’s nuclear energy.
Few people know when Chernobyl exploded. It happened on Saturday, the 26th of April,1986 at approximately 1:23:47.
The accident happened in the 4th power unit located 120 km from the capital of Ukraine.
A powerful explosion completely destroyed the reactor, resulting in more than 200,000 sq. km of radioactive contamination.
This catastrophe has been particularly affected in Belarus and radioactive contamination also affected Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
Over time, the experts concluded that Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia had suffered the most from the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The number of those killed in Chernobyl has still not been recorded.
The estimated number of deaths is over 4,000. This number was reported to have died at the time of the disaster.
Greenpeace International provides data that the total number of victims ranges from 90,000 to 350,000.
The total number of victims is estimated to be between 50,000 and 50,000.
We will never know what Chernobyl is hiding because even after all these years, there is no reliable version of what happened.
Most experts tend to believe that this was an unfortunate combination of circumstances, a malfunction of the equipment,
and the incompetence of some workers. At one time in the Soviet Union, serious care had been taken to ensure that data on the incident and future consequences were classified, but some facts were only coming out now.
Of course, many years later, the radiation in this area has subsided and has reached minimal levels in some places.
